On 16th Oct 2017 ‘Health Awareness Programme was organized on topic “Ill Effects of using Mobile Phones”.
Miss. Roopa Shree M SYMCON Foundation & Social Welfare Trust (NGO) spoke on ill effects of using mobile phones. She said that now a day’s uses of mobile phones are common. People use various sets made of android, manual etc. The methods of using phones are wrong and it is leading to various accidents. She also mentioned about the health issues caused by use of mobiles where it may cause infertility among men and women. Frequent use may also lead to stress and disturbed sleep. Specific mention was made about the safe and unsafe mobile company handsets which can be used and also about the mobile safety checking details.
Students posed various questions on the use of mobiles and health issues caused by it. The programme was presided by Prof K.B Vasudeva, Principal, VVLC who also spoke on use of mobile by students. Over 105 students were present in this occasion.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sridevi Krishna, Asst. Professor, VVLC.
