OBC Committee is constituted for the welfare of Other Backward Classes (OBC) students in the institution.

OBC Committee Members

Objectives

To collect reports and information regarding the Government of India and the UGC orders on various aspects of education, training and employment of OBC.
To circulate Government of India orders and UGC’s decisions and to collect information in respect of appointing, training and special programmes for OBC students.
To communicate information regarding scholarship and various schemes to OBC students.
To collect statistics on OBC students.
To monitor the working of the remedial coaching scheme in the college for OBC students including.
To educate, enlighten and empower the students to make use of the facilities extended by the Govt. and other agencies for their educational & occupational career.
To organize special lecture and other Educational Programmes for OBC students to update their knowledge and skills.

Functions

To circulate the orders and other circulars issued by Government of India regarding OBC student’s welfare schemes.
To collect reports, orders and information issued by Government of India and the UGC on the various aspects of Education, Training and Employment of other Backward Classes candidates for evolving new Policies or modifying existing policies..
To organize and monitor special coaching/training/ remedial coaching scheme in the college for OBC and Minorities students to prepare them for Judicial and other Competitive Examinations.
To co-ordinate through university with Govt. (State & Central), UGC and such other organizations to get Scholarship/freeship/other financial benefits for OBC students.
To deal with representations received from Other Backward Classes (OBC) regarding their admission, Scholarships and other similar matters in the college.
To function as a Grievances Redress Cell for the grievances of OBC students to render them necessary help in solving their academic and other problems
To maintain a list of candidates belonging to OBC college to facilitate in placement service.
Any other works assigned by the University from time to promote higher education among OBC students.
The OBC Cell will exclusively look after the work related to the OBC students No other work will be assigned to it.
